The Items tab is your product and service library. Create reusable items with consistent pricing, tax codes, and account mappings to speed up invoice creation.

Shared with Quotes

The Items section is shared between Quotes and Invoices. All items you create are available in both modules.

Item fields for invoicing

Key fields that affect invoices:

  • Name: Appears on invoice line
  • Description: Additional details shown
  • Unit Price: Default price (can override per invoice)
  • Account: Maps to chart of accounts
  • Tax Code: GST treatment (GST 10%, GST FREE, etc.)
  • Item Code: Internal reference

Integration with Invoices

Items streamline invoice creation:

  • Quick add: Select from dropdown in Invoice Editor
  • Auto-fill: Price, account, and tax auto-populate
  • Consistent: Same item details across all invoices
  • Efficient: No need to retype common products/services
