Reconciliation Autopilot
Autopilot lets the Reconciliation Specialist confirm safe rows for you, so the only transactions you have to look at are the ones the agent isn’t sure about.
What Autopilot does
When Autopilot is on, every time bank transactions come in (CSV import or live feed sync), the agent will:
- Match transactions against your books with the existing deterministic + AI pipeline.
- Draft an allocation for anything the pipeline couldn’t auto-match.
- Confirm every row that lands in Ready to Confirm or Agent Confident, posting the journal entry for you.
Anything in Agent Questions is never touched by Autopilot. Those rows always wait for you.
The Reconcile tab shows a banner — “Autopilot confirmed 14 transactions since your last visit” — and the Account Transactions ledger marks each one with a small Confirmed by Autopilot chip so you can spot them later.
When can I turn it on?
Autopilot is gated by an agent training gauge on each business. The gauge fills up as you confirm the agent’s drafts:
- Every time you accept the agent’s account choice without changing it, the gauge fills a little.
- If you change the account before confirming, the gauge fills more slowly.
Once the agent has reliably learned your patterns, Autopilot unlocks and you’ll see “Autopilot ready to enable” in Reconciliation Settings.
We deliberately don’t show the exact formula — it will be retuned as we gather more data — but the bar will tell you when you’re getting close.
How to enable
- Open the Reconcile tab on any bank account.
- Click Reconciliation Settings (kebab menu, top right).
- Make sure Auto Agent Infill is on.
- Under Mode, choose Autopilot. (If Autopilot is greyed out, the training gauge below will tell you how close you are.)
- Save.
From the next import or sync, Autopilot will confirm safe rows automatically.
How to disable
Same place: open Reconciliation Settings and switch the mode back to Draft mode. Already-confirmed transactions stay confirmed; nothing is rolled back.
What if Autopilot gets one wrong?
You can always undo an Autopilot confirm exactly the same way as a manual confirm: open the journal entry from the Account Transactions ledger, click Unreconcile. The agent’s drafted allocation will come back as a normal Ready to Confirm row.
If you correct it (change the account), the gauge picks that up as a signal that the agent’s choice wasn’t quite right — Autopilot stays available, but the readiness number will dip a little.
Why doesn’t Autopilot touch Agent Questions?
Agent Questions is where the agent has flagged that something needs your eye — missing receipts, ambiguous contact, tax review required, that kind of thing. Auto-confirming those would defeat the purpose of the bucket. They will always wait for you to review and confirm.
Out of scope (for now)
- Scheduled Cloud Agent Autopilot — Autopilot currently only runs during a bank import or sync. A scheduled version that runs without you opening the app is planned but not built.
- Per-account toggle — Autopilot is on or off for the whole business, not per bank account.
